I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Interamerican University, Metropolitan Campus in June 2011. During my clinical formation as a nurse I have enjoyed working tutoring my class mates and helping them during times of stress giving massages. I am certified massage therapist as well. One aspect of being a great nurse is having excellent organization skills, which includes planning, gathering materials, and ensuring that all types of assessment are completed in a timely manner. I feel these are all strong points of mine. As a nurse, I am constantly exploring different mediums to transmit information and learn based upon not only effectiveness but also on their popularity. Increasingly, patients and families spend much of their time looking on the internet what is the illness and information on what to do and plans of care to discuss later with their teacher or doctor, making it necessary for me to incorporate web pages and popular sites into my daily plans. My nursing skills are centered on interactivity, practice and education as well as to treat patients as a whole not just a disease. I discovered that if the interaction is centered on communication with patients and families, the illness or diseases ,nurses, patients and families will be much better informed and also with a better caring position for their ill family member as they have been able participants in their recuperation. At the end, I would like to see every patient to be articulate and able participants in their recuperation process as a whole.
